I have encountered some jargons when I studies Alstom signalling system, should somebody helps and gives me more information about their functions:

Without the context and without knowing anything about the signalling system (which I am assuming is a form of in-cab transmission based system), I am struggling too.

I thing that HVITC might be High Voltage Impulse Track Circuit that would be used for train detection, particularly useful when there is a need for immunity from both ac and dc.

I guess the Beacon is the means by which messages from the trackside are transmitted to the passing train (and possibly also vice versa)

Of ourse being an Alstom system the abbrieviations might be abbrieviations for French words........

If you could quote a short passage that uses the abbrieviations it might help the guesswork!
