I thing that HVITC might be High Voltage Impulse Track Circuit that would be used for train detection, particularly useful when there is a need for immunity from both ac and dc. I guess the Beacon is the means by which messages from the trackside are transmitted to the passing train (and possibly also vice versa) Of ourse being an Alstom system the abbrieviations might be abbrieviations for French words........ If you could quote a short passage that uses the abbrieviations it might help the guesswork! |
