We are currently anticipating holding this annual event over the weekend of 18/19 July.

Precisely what we do is dependent upon the interest expressed; typically we run 2 or 3 parallel sessions in each timetabled slot and let participants mix-and-match to select what best suits their needs and aspirations.
Tend always to cover module 3 topics and either/or module 2, module 5.

In 2 days obviously cannot have any hope of covering the syllabus of any one let alone 3 modules, but can only pick certain elements of interest.
Since it is an exam event, our key focus are those aiming to sit the exam in October 2015. For those people, by mid-July study should be well advanced and we like participants to have made an attempt at questions from a mock paper which we can then discuss at the workshop; also for them to suggest any particular topic on which hey feel they need help.

However we also recognise that there are newer starters in the industry who will not be intending to attempt the exam yet, for whom a more gentle introduction is appropriate; these are also welcome to attend and can either join a session to begin to understand how to address a particular IRSE Exam question being discussed, or one which is not specific question orientated but aimed at a more general awareness of signalling. Similarly there are others who are not in core signalling roles and may never be intending to undertake these modules, or indeed the IRSE Exam itself, but still can learn a lot from some hand-on experience with some equipment etc.

Subject to the constraints of overall numbers, staff /helpers, site facilities etc. we aim to give an event that is matched to the needs of those intending. Whereas the actual timetable tends to be finalised at the event itself to optimise what can be achieved by individuals pick-and-mixing from the alternative options, it is really helpful to have as much prior visibility as possible of what people would like / feel they need.

The YM will shortly be distributing an event flyer to their mailing list which will also be placed on this Forum; to influence the design of the event please return promptly and give details of what you would want us to cover.

It seems that he 2014 results were sent out about a week ago by email, so time to start thinking about 2015.
I know that several dates are being mooted for the Exam Review but have not heard that it has yet been fixed.
I believe the flyer for the Mod 1/7 Saturday in London has been sent out to the YM mailing list, but don't seem to have been sent a final copy myself so would appreciate if someone who has one can post it here.
Signet in Derby appears happy to host the usual mod 2/3 weekend; we are beginning to have discussions re possible dates and wondering about June this year. Any comments?
