Where to start ?
#3
PJW, thanks for your detailed answers. It is all a bit more clear to me now. I also came to the conclusion that it is best for me if I attempt the IRSE Exam way instead of the equivalents way. This way I can both refresh my knowledge and improve those areas which are not (anymore) up to the standard. I took a look on the sample papers from past years for the modules that are in my knowledge area (M1,2,3,5,7) and while I can not say that they are easy, they are accessible to me, given the proper study/preparation time.

Right now, the biggest bottleneck on my way is the recommendation of two IRSE members that I need on the member application form. So to sit at the exam, I first must be a paid member, and to be a member I must submit the application form by 28th February, and to submit the form, I need the two "approvals" from two IRSE members.

Can you give me some advice on how I could get the required recommendations and if there is any chance I could get them in time for this year, that is by the application form deadline? Since I don't live in the UK, and I did not find any useful info on the forum in the study group meetings section... The only good thing that comes in my mind is that I will be in London 02nd-10th February (personal holiday) and if there would be any IRSE/study group meeting in London those days I would be more than willing to join, but i found no such info on the forum...

Thanks in advance
