Definitely agree with you, but we aren't the people doing it and we do not know what problems they are facing.
The latest info given to one candidate when they chased it is:
As to the examinations, the results will be uploaded to a secure area on the website and you will be sent an email in due course with information about where to view these. The results should be collated and ready at the end of December/ early January.
Whether it is worded like this just to discourage more people chasing them when trying to do their day job I don't know. Certainly hassling them isn't going to speed things up, so I think it is best that everyone just tries to be patient

Be patient and appreciate most of the exam structure is manned by volunteers who give their time for free to better the lives of others. Or maybe someone fancies giving their time to HQ to assist in processing the paperwork?
I don't think it's at all fair of you to suggest that I'm being impatient or failing to appreciate the work of the volunteers. I seem to remember that my results letter last year arrived on 24th December, so I was fully expecting to wait until about that time again. Unfortunately, the suggestion that was posted on here that the results would be out by now turned out not to be correct. This is of course nobody's fault, and indeed I am very grateful that any information picked up is passed on through this website, but is frustrating nonetheless.
Having re-read my own post, I think your reply was unnecessarily dismissive.

That seems to have done the trick!
Obviously there has been some form of problem as there has apparently been a change of plan since candidates have just been sent an email:
Dear Member,
The results of the IRSE Examination are listed in the attached PDF document, “IRSE Examination Results 2011”, which will not now be published on the IRSE website.
The identifier for your exam result is your examination candidate number.
The result codes are:
D = Distinction
C = Credit
P = Pass
N = Near Miss
F = Fail
A formal letter listing your results will be issued in due course.
Now is anyone going to be brave enough to share their results good or bad on this forum?
